A 40-year-old Connecticut man has been taken to a Hartford-area hospital following a motorcycle crash in Bristol. According to local reports, the victim’s 2008 Suzuki was thrown to the pavement after colliding with an SUV near Jerome Avenue and Stevens Street around 7:00 p.m., Monday evening.
The man was found unconscious by emergency personnel and listed in serious condition. As a result of the motorcycle accident, the man suffered injuries to his head, femur and left leg.
While the accident is still under investigation, it appears that the SUV’s failure to yield caused the incident. It turned in front of the victim’s motorcycle when it tried to take a left on Stevens Street. The motorcyclist, traveling north on Jerome Avenue, apparently did not have time to stop.
