According to reports, a 31-year-old Middletown man was traveling south on Route 10 when his SUV turned directly in front of a motorcycle and another car.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured in the motorcycle accident. Tragedies linked to drunk drivers continue to mar local headlines. Hartford area residents are put at risk every time an individual decides to drive under the influence. This risk is exacerbated for motorcyclists. They are more likely to be thrown from their vehicle in a crash. This vulnerability exposes them to a larger risk for permanent disability. Fatal motorcycle crashes are also a common result in serious motorcycle accidents.
Such tragic results can put an insurmountable burden on the victim and his or her family. From medical bills to lost wages, the effect of an accident can be financially crippling. As a result, victims are encouraged to contact an experienced Hartford attorney. Local lawyers specialize in advocating for the rights of motorcycle accident victims. These professionals understand the tribulations a serious crash can have on the victim and his family. They will ensure that the negligent party is held responsible for their actions.
